RJ-Martin FP 3 "SeaDragon" 2.6
Intro
During the 1950s flying boats where seen as the US navies method of projecting a nuclear deterrent with the likes of the Martin P6M SeaMaster being developed and flying from around 1955. I thought that it would be nice if they had also had a subsonic fighter to accompany / defend the SeaMaster or carry out CAP of their own. I introduce the SeaDragon, armed with 4 Aim-9 Sidewinders and a Vulcan cannon it can handle most engagements of the era.
Controls
Nice and simple:
VTOL dn=flaps
Brake = airbrake
LandingGear=retract sea rudder and turn off landing light
AG6=nav lights

Notes
Sticking the engines on the wingtips probably isnt that practical in real life (there was a B-58 variant that had that configuration) but it was nice to combine the wingtip floats and the engines in a location that didnt need long struts or get jet wash over bits of the plane that wouldnt appreciate it.
Additionally i have left it rather manoeverable on purpose, reasoning is 2 fold, 1 the pitch is the maximum that could be pulled and isnt intended for continuous pulling a short sharp change of direction would be reasonable (in my novice eyes anyway) and to do this it needs to be more sensitive than if i designed it for the long pull, secondly - its fun =)
