You don't need more stuff, the game doesn't work that way, hence your difficulties.
Your engines might not be getting enough air, You need 1 air intake per engine.
Adjust the sliders in the Gyro, don't add more.
Adjust the VTOL nozzles using fine tuner and mirror, don't add more.
Make sure to use your COM/COL/COT toggle, Learn it.
