The MIG YE-150 NATO reporting name ‘Flipper’ was a series of prototypes interceptors to test the engine that would later go into the MIG 25 Foxbat it was the MIG 21 on steriods although sharing no parts or a frame it was a metal tube with a cruise misslie engine (Not joking) and still holds the record for fastest single engine jet aircraft of all time and was the fastest outright when it was built VTOL up for flaps
