The P2012MPA is a Small Maritime Patrol Aircraft that was introduced in 2010. The P2012MPA is currently in use by the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) of Alitalia (Italy) and the Bolivänia Military Aviation (Venezuela). It uses a Synthetic-aperture radar on the front of the aircraft to look out for threats. The aircraft first saw operation off the coast of Alitalia to look for smugglers and pirates. The aircraft comes with 8x AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and Chaff and Flayers. As of 2023, only 2 have been shot down by pirates.
