4449 SP Daylight with Tender
This is my attempt to build the Southern Pacific 4449 Daylight. Its home is in Portland, Oregon, and it operates at least once a year pulling the Holiday Express. In my version the whistle is higher pitched, but it is still good! I used an improved version of drive arms, and the cab is highly advanced. None of the little knobs do anything, but they look cool at least. Use AG1 and AG2 for the headlights. VTOL up to open the firebox, trim to control the direction, and throttle up SLOWLY to move. Start with the throttle at 10%, then when it gets to 6 miles per hour, keep the throttle at double the speed. At 40 miles per hour, go ahead and put it up to full throttle. Pitch back to blow the whistle -- though be warned, the whistle uses a LOT of fuel. The brake is weakened so it is more realistic in terms of slowing down. Have fun with this!!!
