Mechanical Whitehead No.21/22
This is a simple mechanical replica of Gustave Whithead's No.21... well its a hybird of his No.21/No.22 machines. The No.21 had no means of steering left or right (Whitehad said he shifted his weight?) so I added a rudder. The machine was built in 1901 by Gustave Whitehead. It had two engines one 20 HP engine for the props and one 10 HP engine for the wheels. The machine made a flight of half a mile on its first day of testing, although this isn't widelt accepted to be true (Personally I believe Whitehead was the first to fly). The machine only has a rudder and horizontal tail for control. Wait unti you reach 54 mph and slowly pitch up until you takeoff. Have fun flying - ThePrototype P.S Its nice to be building and uploading again :)
