27.8k TheFlightGuySP  1.7 years ago

If you intend to use this in one of your builds, please be sure to give proper credit.

A thrust vectoring nozzle with Roll, Pitch, and Yaw control.

To implement into one of your aircraft:

  • Save the nozzle as a subassembly.
  • Attach the nozzle to your aircraft.
  • Add the variables NozzleControl, TVR, TVP, and TVY into your variables menu. These are the control inputs for the nozzle. NozzleControl controls throttle input, TVR controls roll input, TVP controls pitch input, and TVY controls yaw input.
  • Modify the controls to your liking.

    @FujiwaraAutoShop True. I made this mainly because it's not something I've seen on the website, and also as a proof-of-concept to test thrust vector nozzles that use the nozzle flaps for vectoring instead of just moving the whole nozzle.

    @TheFlightGuySP yeah i guess
    but i dont see the point other than a tech demo

    compared to RD's MiG-29A that's on the front page right now if you were to build that same thing using a matching build quality to that of these modules i'd say you have yourself a 13,000perf cost aircraft which would give you like 6.5 RD MiG-29As

    either way, still pretty cool tech. 👍

    Really Cool. Will credit if use. I have an idea. Stick a label on the build somewhere with the variable setters and their default values, so that that info can get stored when it gets made into a library part.
