Puteshestvennik Class Torpedo Boat
Puteshestvennik Class is a group of 15 Torpedo Boats built by the Shaterlot Navy in 1799. They were a response to the demand of Voyenno-morskaya razvedka (Naval Intelligence) to a need of fast ships with powerful armament.
History
The Voyenno-morskaya razvedka requested a newer class of ships, powerful and fast to became new breakthrough ships that can eliminate enemy Battle Line. The success of Lev Class seen a great potential in terms of new designs. The ship architects used the basis of Lev in order to create a new class of ship. Retained its original Hull design but they improved its Artillery power. They retained the same Torpedo Armament that was previously armed by the Lev. The new class was named Puteshestvennik Class.
Service History
The Ships operated in all Fleet sectors of the Shaterlot Navy, they serve as the group leader of a Torpedo Flotilla or sometimes operated by their own. They performed very well against enemy Battle Lines. Plans to remove them from Frontline service in 1815 but the outbreak of war at that time halted their retirement and instead they serve extensively during the 1st War of Coalitions. All ships served for 16 years and was drawn out of service. None were preserved.
