Summary
The Bandit-NTDA Malamute Infantry Mobility Vehicle is a joint Paternian-Aleuztian project to develop an infantry mobility vehicle suitable for the future needs of the Paternian Army and the Royal Aeuztian Army. Previous vehicles used for the task were often too specialized as troop carriers, lacked the necessary protection, or were too heavy for the task.
As a result, Bandit and NTDA partnered with each other to develop the Malamute IMV. Based on the Bandit-manufactured Humvee chassis, NTDA developed a newer, more resilient body.
The project was a success, coming under budget and ahead of schedule. The Malamute IMV will partially-replace the Humvee in Paternian infantry units, although the Humvee will remain in service for second-line duties as intended.
