Saab J35 Draken | Cold War Challenge

Auto Credit Based on Onat67's COLD WAR CHALLENGE (teams version) [OPEN]

The SAAB J35 was first flown in 1955 and remained in service until 2005 when austria finally stopped using the Draken. A major point in the design of the Draken was its double delta wing meant to help it fly well at low and high speeds. It was also the first western-european combat aircraft with supersonic capabilities. The wing design also helped it become the first aircraft to ever perform the cobra maneuver. It was a fighter-interceptor aircraft of the cold war era mainly built “just in case” if you know what I mean. Personally, delta wings are a favorite of mine because of the challenges they pose and what designers do with the wings to avoid those challenges.

Armament:
2x Interceptors
2x Gaurdians
6x Inferno

    Scoring

    (Pin this up)

1- Design: + 6 points (General appearance is nice but can be detailed)

2- Movement Performance: +3 points (No problems in straight flight but has difficulty in turns, often gets out of control and rolls or even turns upside down)

3- Weapons: +4 points (It doesn't have any cannons, it has a lot of missiles, some of them can be replaced with some bombs or rockets, and a fuel tank wouldn't be bad either)

4- Post Content: +7 points (Thumbnail, controls and description are fine, I just recommend you add pictures to the description and use interesting writing styles. There is no background in all the screenshots you added, but that's definitely not a problem because I use a mobile device and it's almost impossible to upload more than one screenshot)

5- Is it fun to play?: +4 points (As I mentioned before, the poor flight performance makes it uncomfortable to play)

    6- Replica: +10 points (Yes)

7- Secret achievement: +10 points (Although Sweden is a new NATO member, every NATO member spreads freedom)

    Total:

    44 points

@LimeAir You could just disable part collision on the cannon though, or move the cannon so its base dont overlap onto another fuselage, that would cause collision with it and thus, explode

@Onat67 I was talking about your original comment where you said machine guns. I’m aware of the cannons. I couldn’t find a way to add usable cannons that don’t explode the vehicle lol. Aren’t cannons and machine guns different?

    @LimeAir No, only SAAB SK 35C and SAAB S 35E variants do not have cannons. SAAB J 35A1, A2, B, D, F, J variants have 2 or 1 cannons and since you are built a J 35, all sub-variants have these cannons.
