Background

I want to make a replacement for an old light fighter, FL-28 Groundzero. The said aircraft was not built properly and is kinda rushed. So I want to make the proper one. Originally built as a regional fighter with a very small dimension (kind of like Hal Tejas mk1), I decided to make it as the same dimension as a mainstream light fighter (F-16, Gripen, J-10).

The aircraft itself is collaboration between me and my friend, MonoFox. He offers me some help to finish this thing. After the base design is finished. We decided that we will have our own version of this aircraft. We also planned to upload it at the same time but he has some IRL stuff so his version will be uploaded later. This is my version. Design and Description

Daslan Icarus is single-engine, swept wing, light multirole fighter. It builds with a canard configuration. Build as light fighter, we incorporated central inlet under the chin, complete with DSI. We also use LERX and Conformal Tank to increase aircraft performance.

The first iteration of the aircraft, FBW and the cockpit designed by me. Monofox makes some adjustments to the nose, better landing gear, better afterburner, and CM system.

Features:

FBW for stable flight. Glimiter rated for sustained turn max 9.5G. There will be some over G instantaneous turn. I can fix that but ehh... let it be.

- Targeting Pod

Will track enemy, have a reticle. Note: Please change to "Sintrex" camera and AG6 to make it track target

- Splinter Camo + TNI AU Roundel

I rarely use any roundel on my build but this time, I put a roundel of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) because it's 17th august, the date of Indonesian Independence Day. yay

Button in the bottom row of the right screen can be used to activate SINTREX Pod
There's a side switch panel for light right next to the HOTAS.
There's armament panel right in front of HOTAS to activate individual armament

Loadout Briefing:

- GBL-25 Laser Guided Bomb

A guidance kit that turns dumb bomb into smart bomb. Design inspired by Ukrainian 'Adros' BAU-01K laser/GPS guidance kit. Have fin that will unfold. The warhead itself is 500kg bomb based on boomb 25.

- BVR-21 Arjuna BVRAAM

Beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM), using air ducted rocket and ram engine to achieve longer range, similar to MDMA Meteor. Ideal for interception. Could be used in a dogfight but with limited performance.

- AIM-9X SRAAM

Short air to air missile made by Blue0bull (KAI KF-6A Caraca). A very agile missile with 180-degree detection angle. Combined with aircraft maneuverability to achieve a formidable dogfighter.

- 500 litre Drop Tank

500 liter ish drop tank for extended range. Total additional 1000 litre carried.

- Sintrex Targeting Pod

Working targeting pod for laser-guided bomb. To use this, change to SINTREX Camera and AG6 to activate to the motor, and then cycle target. It will automatically track and lock.

- ALQ-131 ECM Pod

Electronic Counter Measure. Not functional, for looks only

Note

• Feel free to take the missile
• I use high physics when building this so use the same setting
• For optimal turn rate maintain speed at a range of 700-800 kmh
• Part damaged when firing gun: it is intentional for gunfire smoke effect. It just registered as hit, and deal no health decrease
