The RIM-7 Sea Sparrow Air-To-Air Missile

The Sea Sparrow is one of the most recognizable Surface-To-Air missiles due to the launchers that contain it. The launchers contain 8 Sea Sparrow missiles with a 360 degree turn radius and a 45 degree elevation maximum.

Once again, only one missile can be fitted per vehicle and this means only one tube is live. We are currently working on a flawless launch sequence that will update the rest of the missiles too. This means that in the future more tubes and weapons can be fitted to larger vehicles.

Stats

  • Top Speed of 2,645 MPH.
  • Will try to avoid land.
  • May hit the ground (or water) on launch.
  • Proximity Detonation Range of 40 to 70 Feet.
  • Inaccurate, but has a fuse.
  • Rapid acceleration and can maintain speed on turns.

The Sparrow is not a Prototype, as the Prototypes were unreliable and rarely hit. We decided to move on to final testing and design. If there is a common flaw please comment about it.
