So this isn't exactly my first attempt at building a ship. It's my second. And I ended up building it in the most unnecessarily difficult way possible. Blocks instead of panels. Ah well, I'll know for next time. It's a good lesson in shipbuilding and interesting to take apart and study.

The Orion class OPV is an offshore patrol vessel used to patrol the coastal and off coast regions of the Winolian empire. Far from a capable warship, it's effective at tackling pirates and smugglers and supporting the police special forces in maritime raids. They also make excellent escorts for merchant ships and private vessels looking to enter dangerous waters.

At a top speed of 40 knots, the Orion class OPV is a fast craft used by the Winolian coast guard for rapid response emergencies. It weighs about 250 tonnes or 300 tonnes for the Corvette variant (still a work in progress) and is equipped with a single, main Mk.1C 30mm auto cannon capable of putting down a fire rate of 9 rounds per second. It comes fully fitted with a suite of modern electronics, fire control systems, radar and sonar although curiously it's not integrated for Taktix-1 and instead uses the cheaper Kombat-2 battle management system. It can also mount 4 Heavy machine guns in mounts positioned 45, 135, 225 and 315-degree positions for a holistic field of fire. It has an endurance of 6 days (approximately 2,700 nautical miles) and is served by a crew of 28 people, including the officers.

No action groups.
Roll to turn left or right.
VTOL to rotate gun on X-axis
Trim to elevate gun.

So yeah, it was only after finishing the hull I realised how to build hulls in a much better way. Plus a lot of the superstructure is still in need of work. But Its a great starting point for future ship designs and as someone described it, it's cute. That's all that matters.
