Auto Credit Based on Meawk's Grumman TBF Avenger
INSPIRED BY THE WORK OF MEAWK ORIGINALLY.
The Douglas A-1D was a carrier-based aircraft which missed WW2 by months but instead went on to serve in Korea and Vietnam. This is my own work based on a similar sized aircraft which did see WW2 service by fellow Member Meawk. The Skyraider saw service with a few other nations as well as the US Navy and USAF such as Thailand and Australia. The Royal Navy trialled the Skyraider AEW Mk 1 from the carrier HMS Victorious but selected the Fairey Gannet AEW Mk 1 instead of accepting the type into service.
