@JohnnyBoythePilot Definitly agree!
@TommySchram13
No the Sea Fury's definitely have an awesome engine sound, but according to wikipedia, September Fury has had several blown engines that kept it back from winning 1st place. However, September Fury did break a record of being the world's fastest Sea Fury. Don't get me wrong, Sept. Fury is a damn fast racer, just has engine issues that plague it.
That would be great to see Hinton race Voodoo again if someone else buy Voodoo to continue it's racing career.
Ohhh yes. September fury had one of the best engine sound. Steve will fly another plane for sure weather its rare bear Strega September fury or maybe voodoo again. @JohnnyBoythePilot
@TommySchram13
Maybe Septemeber Fury???? Just a wild guess since I haven't seen much action from that racer since 2013. Only problem with Sept. Fury is that it's had a LOT of engine issues in it's racing career. Hope Hinton can get on with another team. :(
Yeah I saw that too. :( I wonder what Steve is going to fly. @JohnnyBoythePilot
@TommySchram13
Yea I know Steve Hinton doesn't own Voodoo, he's just her pilot. Wow racing since he was 21? Wow. I knew he was pretty young in air racing, but didn't think he was flying the Pylons since 21! I watched the air races on YouTube, and when Steve was jumping off Voodoo's wing, he did seem pretty upset. It is pretty sad.
@JohnnyBoythePilot
Voodoo will probably fly again.
@JohnnyBoythePilot Actually, Steve Hinton is the pilot of voodoo so he has no say in the plane at all. He is just the great pilot of voodoo not the owner. Steve Hinton is actually like 28. The owner which I do not know is retiring. So Steve is very sad and was actually crying when he landed voodoo on the Sunday. he's been flying Strega and voodoo since he was 21!
@TommySchram13
Oh so it's Steve Hinton who's retiring? If that's the case Voodoo could very well come back to air racing soon if she gets a new owner. That would be great.
@JohnnyBoythePilot
yeah. however, the pilot is retireing. the plane has a 50 50 chance of racing from a new owner.
It was certainly an epic race. I saw it on YouTube (since I didn't go this year). It was all about Strega vs. Voodoo, the two greatest P-51 racers at Reno at the moment. Voodoo had the lead I believe until the last lap where Strega overtook and took the lead to finish. It was an awesome race. To bad Voodoo is retiring. She had a good racing career. My other favorite is Rare Bare. After Rare Bare it would be Strega for me.
@TommySchram13 ok
@blueshirtandjeans
you can take the planes and use them.
mainly, it is a "statue" for the reno air races.
What do you do with this
