Auto Credit Based on Jerryzhere's Piston Test

Same Piston test as before, now has starting motor. It works at 65% while the motor is on even just a little bit. This shows me that the crankshaft works, but for some reason desides itd be easier to turn around than to fall and go full circle. Leaves me without any ideas

    @Indigoltd I got it to successfully turn over ~80% of the time while at 30-45% throttle by adding a 4x4 flywheel to the end with the starter. It unfortunately also causes violent vibrations, even at 0 added weight. I’ll keep fiddling with it though. I might try to move the pistons farther out to give them more horizontal torque and hopefully be able to turn it over without the flywheel

    Piston slap. I’ve watched this now for a while running at very low speeds to try and catch where it is binding at. The pistons are pushing the strut cartridge to its max retract position and does not allow the pistons to push to their final rise before sinking. Like a combustion engine, there is a gap between the top of the piston and the bottom of the valve train during the compression cycle. The piston position needs to sink first before combustion cycle or will cause this. Really cool experiment, I will be following now to see if this helps you. More clearance should help though.
