History: Designed in 1946 as a competitor to the E-65 (designed by Adtler), the Von Krupp VK 65.03M eventually lost for various reasons. The first is because it wasn't as compatiable as the E-65, seeing as its parts were made differently, the tracks were different, etc. The tank passed all the trials, but because Germany had already standardized the E-50 and E-75 tanks, there was no point in creating new tools to build another line of tanks. Two models, the 65.04A and 65.05B did see combat, with limited success (together, they only knocked out 21 T-54 tanks). The 65.05B was scrapped in early 1947, and the 65.04A was put into storage by Von Krupp with the hopes of eventually being able to use it again. Late in 2013, a team from Aerostyle stumbled upon the warehouse, which hadn't been opened since that day in 1947. They found the VK 65.03M, the 65.04A, and many more tanks from different companies. Sadly, the 65.04A was lost when after a few weeks, the warehouse collapsed. The VK 65.03M is now being held in the Aerostyle Military Archives facility, and in 2015 went on display in the "Tanks of the Enemies" exhibit.
