SPT-06M4A4 Megumin Mk.III is the latest Main Battle Tank produced by New Syllix Alliance. Even after the project got delayed for 2 years this tank has finally reached mass production by the military. The initial prototype was made by using the chassis from SPT-06A1M2 Megumin Mk.II but was proven not strong enough to be used with the new turret. So the chassis SPT-06A2M1 was developed. The new chassis was made longer and made tougher with new suspension allowing the tank to hold more weight. But the generals wasn't impressed. And considering that the 135mm smoothbore is now inferior to most armored vehicles, they designed a new gun. The gun's caliber was made smaller and made the barrel longer for more velocity. But the current turret was not made to use smaller caliber guns so the new turret was designed. At this stage, the prototype was named SPT-06A3M2 with the designation A3 for the chassis and M2 vor the version of it. Then the new turret was made and they found another problem. The current A3 chassis they were using was not strong enough to be used with the new turret and with a better anti tank weapons can penetrate trough the tank's armor so a new chassis has to be designed. At this time, Mega Arnament Industries is almost finish their own Main Battle Tank so the development of the new chassis was speeded up. The new chassis design is made bigger and made even more tougher with adding ERA's on the tank hull and better armor composition. Its suspension was also changed making it so the tank can operate at rough terrain pretty smooth. So they immediately put assembled the tank and given tests. After comparing the specifications SPT-06A4M4 Megumin Mk.III won the contract. This variant has Shtora system attached and added smoke grenade launcher and added side "wings" for the troops cover behind whild advancing.
