It was a long time before the Air Force needed a new Attack Aircraft as the A-22s we're still very capable despite being a 4th Gen Aircraft. Once it was finally time to design a 5th Gen Attack Aircraft Ott went for a similar design to that of the A-22 but made some 5th Gen Changes to it such as adding Stealth Capabilities and Internal Weapons Pods and upgrading the cannons from one big cannon to 2 smaller cannons on either side of the plane.
