After Dusty watched the firefighters fight the fire, he was equipped with pontoons by Maru. His tip tanks were also removed. Then, he started training with Blade. He learned how to scoop water and put out the fire from a barrel. But when he tried to fly under the bridge, his warning light flashed and made him back off.
After arriving at Piston Peak National Park, Maru replaces his landing gear with gray pontoons that have ocean blue and black stripes, and removes his tip tanks.
