Bells' prototype for the Army's Super Fighter contract, this was done in response to Germany's creation of jet aircraft, So to quickly create a fighter that can effectively combat the jet fighter, Bells' prototype was a simply a P-63 Kingcobra optomized for high-altitude performance, aswell as high-speed maneuvering, though even with an engine upgrade, and aerodyanmic advances the "Supercobra's" performance was sub-par compared to it's competitors
