Overview: the A210 "Smallsword" is a supersonic, single-engine fighter/interceptor jet. It is the first Venture aircraft project to feature slats. The aircraft is capable of achieving speeds slightly greater than Mach 2, thanks to its powerful engine and lower-drag configuration. Its design is similar to the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. Unlike the Starfighter, however, the aircraft has a conventional tail configuration.

NOTES

  • Do not use full pitch input during the takeoff phase. Use about 90% pitch input. Otherwise, the aircraft will not rotate.
  • To sustain high-speed flight, the aircraft's engine automatically adjusts power at higher altitudes. This causes the engine to be much louder. I would recommend using lower volume.
  • Though the refuel probe does work, the aircraft refuels very slowly. This is due to the aircraft's higher fuel amount. Modifications to a tanker aircraft's refuel drogue may be required for better refueling.
  • The Stage-2 afterburner only activates after 750mph (1207kph).
  • The flaps and slats automatically retract after 250mph (402kph).
  • The aircraft's pitch maneuverability begins decreasing after 500mph (805kph).
  • The aircraft has certain stability issues do to its small wingspan.
