introduction
BAE 146 is a four-engine short-range jet feeder developed by British Aerospace. BAE 146, formerly known as HS.146, is a 70-85 seater four-engine jet developed by the former British Hawke Sidley Aircraft Company in 1972 and funded by the British government. Later, due to the oil crisis, the economic downturn and the depression of the civil aviation market, the British government stopped funding for Hawk Sidley Company, and the development plan was shelved in October 1974. The BAe 146 later produced 387 aircraft, making it the UK's most successful civil aviation airliner programme.
