The Giant Bubbling Egg Toast One day, one blazing, boiling, sultry day (July 3rd, to be explicit), the Californians watched as the sun slowly revealed itself over the horizon of Julian, CA, just a short (or somewhat short) drive from San Diego. It had been a dark night last night; Julian was a dark sky city, meaning they did not support light pollution. It wasn’t until now that anyone saw what had made that stomach churning noise at midnight. It was an enormous slice of egg toast. But not just any egg toast. The toast had a cockpit, a gyroscope, inlets, and a monstrous engine on the bottom. Half the citizens ran outside or opened their windows to watch; the others stormed back into their homes, hid in one of the old 70’s souvenir shops, or jumped into a barrel of apples in the orchards that stretched along for miles. The egg whites also were bubbling from the Southern California heat. It was 90 degrees fahrneheit in the shade, although the sun had just risen. The bubbles fell and spilled onto the sizzling road below, with sickening series of gwullop! Gwullop! and ker-splat! Ker-splat! note: this is the beta version, still needs improvment; part 2 of the story will be released alongside the next version of the aircraft
