The Macchi 202 "Folgore" (Thunderbolt), an Italian WW2 fighter, it proved itself as one of the best planes of the war. It was powered by an italian version of the Daimler-Benz 601. Its weaponry consisted in two 12.7mm guns on the engine cowl and two 7.7mm in the wings. Laters modeld also used 20mm cannons installed in pods under the wings or directly in the wings. The plane was also later developed into the more powerful version "Macchi 205 Veltro"
