Introduction

Howdy folks, this is my first challenge / post so I would figure that I would do something fun. I'll have other people judge with me as I want people in the community to help.

Challenge Information

You will be designing a 5th generation aircraft that can be built for anything. This challenge is all about fighters, ranging from Multirole to Bombers. This should include realistic flight characteristics and not unrealistic thrust and maneuverability, and reasonable features included inside of the aircraft. Things like straight angles will result in a bigger RCS (Radar Cross Section), leading to less stealth. Take aspects like these into consideration.

Requirements

• All weapons must internalized, you can experiment with loadouts and weapons such as Air to Air & Air to Ground.

• You may take aspects from different fighters, but it should not be a direct carbon copy of fighter jets. It should be somewhat original, but don't have to be something entirely new. Mixes between fighter jets such as the F-35 & F-22 combination proposed to Japan by Lockheed Martin can be done, alongside other jets. It's all up your imagination.

• Your aircraft must have an interactable cockpit, but does not have to be fully realistic. It must be functional though.

• No less than 100 parts, and no more than 2500 parts.

• XML editing is recommended, but no mods are allowed.

• Must be a successor to this build.

• Must have spent time on it, don't rush this challenge, and instead take your time designing aircrafts.

• Description must include controls and a description of what your aircraft is. Additional lore is optional but appreciated!

Grading / Judging

The Judging will be done over a Youtube Livestream with other people, and will stream how every plane is in game and the overall feel. I'll have the overall chat's opinion too, so it'll be something fun to interact with the community. All builds will receive an upvote, and will go through a "duel" to compete in which aircraft is the best.

Will be graded on:

• Flight mechanics 1/20; is it unrealistic in terms of acceleration or does it feel grounded?

• Detail 1/20; Does it look like Timmy spent 2 minutes on it or does it look like someone spent time and effort into it?

• Uniqueness 1/20; Is it a carbon copy of the F-22 or does it have new elements?

• Looks 1/20; Does it look like somebody just built a 4th gen or does it look like a 5th Gen?

• Attention to detail 1/20; Did you forget to internalize weapons or forget the part limit?

Deadline

Deadline will be at 6/9/23 (June 9th, 2023) to give some time for everybody to finish whatever they need to.
