A trainer variant of the Hawk Jet. With many surplus airframes, it was decided to convert them into advanced trainvers. Over 250 conversions were made. In this role, it was highly successful, and was sold to many countries who operated the Hawk Jet. Due to the fighter airframe, it often served as attack aircraft or even as a fighter.
