P.L.C.S. Krakow

194 Fashionnugget  3.9 years ago

FIRST THINGS FIRST, I know this design is unpractical, that’s kind of the point so don’t comment about it.

Fictional Backstory:
The P.L.C.S. Krakow was launched in 1930 as an idea to solve a never ending problem for ship designers: How can you fit as many guns as possible on a ship? It saw service with the Polish-Lithuanian Navy in 1932 against Denmark. It was used as a battleship hunter and saw great success, sinking 2 unknown battleships, 1 battlecruiser and a heavy cruiser. It was converted to an aircraft carrier in 1940 before being sunk by enemy submarines.

Armament:
12 fourteen inch guns
8 127mm dual purpose

Controls:
Roll: Turn
Power: Must I explain?
AG1: Activate main turrets
AG2-3 : Activate secondary turrets
Yaw: Turret traverse
Pitch: Turret Elevation

Notes:
Again, this design is stupid and purely for fun. I took slight inspiration from HMS Nelson. This is from an alternative universe where the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth still exists.
