Fokker Dr. 25 Koloniejager
After the end of the Weltkrieg, the German Empire gained massives swaths of territory in not only Europe, but Africa. This resulted in a need to effectivly patrol these areas, so the German government sent out a request to all of its aircraft companies for a light, cheaply made but effective aircraft. The winner of the contract was Fokker Flugzeugwerke, the company famous for producting the Fokker Dr. 1 Dreidekker. They used a similar triplane design, but upgraded it with an all metal construction, an enclosed cockpit and more firepower to name a few. The "Koloniejager" (Colony Fighter) as it came to be known, was largely enjoyed by its pilots. The only issue was its difficulty to land. It was designed in 1923 and was produced from 1925 to 1931, with the introduction of the Messerschmitt J-31.
