"DD-809" Fletcher-Class Destroyer
"Visual identification began!"
The Tritagonist of Ace Combat WWII, acting as an equivalent to AWACS in Ace Combat games, DD-809 was a Fletcher-Class destroyer in service with the Osean navy, she was made in around 1943, and was retrofitted in 1945 with the addition of ASM-N-3 "Torch" anti ship missile, replacing the fifth 5" gun on the stern, aside from that her armaments are standard for all Fletcher-Class at the time, comprising of four 5"/38 guns, nine Oerlikon 20mm L/70, and three Bofors 40mm installation, two quad mounts between the funnels and one twin mount just after the fourth 5" gun, she was also fitted with an SG air-search radar.
In this SimplePlanes version (there wasn't any other version except probably the movie prop version but anyway), she is, of course, 70% of her actual scale, all of her guns are functional and operable, though be aware that you can literally destroy yourself if the guns are blocked by a structure, the anti air armaments are divided in two sections, left and right, only difference being that the left side had an extra 20mm, while the right side had an extra 40mm, well two of them, she had a top speed of somewhere around 80-90km/h and some cameras here and there, and yes the propellers on the bottom of the ship actually works underwater, I don't know how, I don't know why, but it does.
