This Nepalese fighter is based on a plane originally made to bully TUPL XD.

In 1933, Nepal needed a new fighter to stop the Japanese Zero onslaught in eastern Asia. So they bought 300 P-36As from the USA. The Nepalese took these new P-36As and took two 20mm AA cannons and shoved them in the nose cowling, and then took two AN/M2 50cals and put them in little bulbs under each wing. The new "NF.1" was taken to battle for the first time and shot down many Zeros. The new fighter was so effective it stayed the same until 1934 when the B and C variants entered the field. The R version was a radar version for night assault and was short lived (2yrs). After the war, Portugal bought some and made the P version which was a ground attack version. The aircraft line eventually earned the NATO reporting name "Foot Back".
The line was eventually retired in 1962.
