Auto Credit Based on Jundroo's Tutorial Plane
The Boeing 747SP, first flew on July 4, 1975. PS: NEVER TAKEOFF WITH THIS PLANE IF YOU WANT TO FLY SMOOTHLY. Fun Fact: did you know that SP in 747SP stands for special performance? It is true! But this one is more of a 747PTP (PTP standing for poor takeoff performance) but this is still good at flying. With a capacity of 331 people, it wasn’t a small plane. The 747SP SOFIA, owned by NASA, is a retired 747SP that had a 106 inch reflected telescope at the back of the plane making it a unique aircraft with ZERO (0) copies (you would think.) Sales met a unexpected 200 UNITS but only 45 aircraft where ultimately produced. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to learn about the 747SP!

It’s nice to know that you like my 747SP! Here is another interesting fact for the public: the 747SP is almost 15 meters shorter than the 747-100, first flown in 1969, the 747SP has just four passenger doors along the fuselage, while the second newest variant of the 747, the 747-400 has 10 passenger doors (including emergency exits.)
Cool!
