The Alvin MUT-2 Seagull (Medium Utility Transport) is a medium size, twin engine cargo plane built in the early 1970s. The design and construction of the aircraft took inspiration DHC-4 Caribou, albiet being smaller in design. These planes were built with unpaved runways in mind so many couriers based deep in the wilderness needed craft like this, which made the MUT-2 a very popular choice and one of the best selling medium size twin engine propeller aircraft. It's ruggedness and reliability earned the nickname ' The Iron Seagull '. The MUT-2s that were militarized were converted into either reconnaissance or casualty response aircraft, the latter variant seating up to 28 people.
