Entry to helicopter challenge, using the supplied camber-lifting rotors. Water launch: VTOL SET to 4th bar down, and set RETRACT Gear. Full power: hold control stick full back, liftoff at 210 MPH. Runway launch: VTOL SET to 4th bar down, Full power, hold control stick full back. Note that one medium and one mod (small) engine provide sufficient forward thrust, throttle may be reduced when you've achieved 2,000 feet altitude, and in-flight camber (VTOL) can be adjusted to your choosing once you're in stable, level flight.

50.4k StingrayThx @Verdnan Yeah, I built it on a decent android tablet. I've come across a few designs I wanted to look at that refused to download to a tablet but this has been rare. The rotor was supplied by Teus and Intencer, and I plan to use it to construct a Skycrane Helicopter - the blades weigh 7,000 lbs which is 1/2 the weight of my previous rotorcraft models.9.7 years ago

5,521 VerdnanRugged looking, nice rotor design. But my poor 1st gen moto can't run it unfortunately.9.7 years ago
-
5,548 IntencerIf you want to increase lift power of my engine you must make little bit longer wings that hold viol nozzles and encrease angle of main wings but no more then 45 degrees.9.7 years ago

50.4k StingrayThanks @Intencer I used a very good quad-core Fire HDX android to build this, cause my ipad could not. However, I can download & test om both my iPhone and ipad - the only controls are the VTOL camber, the throttle, and the "stick" circle which only activates RCS on this model.9.7 years ago

5,548 IntencerFaster than mine:-) Can't to test it properly, lags on my ipad...9.7 years ago

50.4k Stingray@Intencer @Verdnan These 7,000 lb rotors belong on a Skycrane, possibly equipped with 10 VTOL engines, a project in the future for someone. (Smaller, lighter camber-lift blades will lift a 19,000 lb helo design with better in-flight stability combined with variable camber vertical lift.)9.7 years ago

50.4k Stingray@Intencer Here is a dual water-land launch rotorcraft that uses the blades you supplied. Liftoff only works if you hold the control stick Full Back on takeoff.9.7 years ago
