What do you do with a decrepit fighter prototype you just bought?
You strap wheels to it and go for the land speed record, of course.
Lore
Stingray was based on a prototype aeroplane found in a derelict aircraft shed in 2015. The aircrafts wings were nowhere to be found and the fuselage was deemed ‘unfeasible to restore to airworthy condition’. After being sold at auction, the fuselage was fitted with sponsons carrying air intakes and wheels, and a jet engine from a grounded F-16.
Controls
