EP-2 Howler MkII
Having created a greatly advanced weapon system but mounting it to a plane nearly unable of being called airworthy with the original Howler and then falling back to the most basic and robust design of airplane possible in it’s era that was only useful because of the immense numbers that could be built in a short amount of time with the Infuriator, Arrow Inc. decided to make a second attempt with the Howler. Creating enlarged and swept wings hoping to fix the climb and handling issues at the cost of even more airspeed, the Mark II Howler is what finally made Arrow Inc. realize that with the time it would take to make the Howler actually work well, they could create a whole new airframe with far superior characteristics and proceeded to do so with the launch of the Corsa program. But even when the Corsa was supplied to both the Air corps and the Navy, Arrow Inc. still decided to keep several squadrons of Howlers and Howler Mk II’s on first line service to tragic consequences. As always, good luck pilots.
