@TheOwlAce Oh good, I'm glad you didn't mind my fiddling with it. BTW, have you tried getting into the chat room to see about someone walking you through finding your' files? I admit I've been fiddling with a new four engine design largely inspired by the Fw-668, for that RP I'm in. (Provided my lack of new designs this week doesn't mean Finland will fall. lol) You can see its origins but she's actually much smaller, internal bomb load, slightly different landing gear arrangement, turrets, etc.

My son said it made him want to cry that a plane loosely the size of a B-17 at 25,000 feet could move more than 200 mph faster than his beloved P-51D. I've got her loaded with 8 tons of bombs right now but I'm tempted to pull the full hat-trick and go for 10 tons. I still need to put markings on her, provide some detail for the "transparencies," like frame work, I learned a new XML trick that allows you to retract custom landing gear by programming it to respond to the normal landing gear button instead of trim or vtol! I also hope to blend some structural wings into the wing with a rotator for flaps that operate on AG8 via VTOL so that I can lock the flaps up afterwards so that VTOL and TRIM are free for the defenses. I'm debating though - single 20 mm cannon mounts OR twin MG131 mounts.

@TheOwlAce Oh okay, I went ahead and deleted the fixed design. I apologize if I stepped on your' toes by opting to mess with it. Its just that this bomber has always been one of my fav designs of yours and that I liked the increased detail of this version- not to mention pioneering the new landing gear before even I've given it a shot; I just wanted to see it work. If you ever need XML help, until you find someone who can intelligently walk you through it on this user UNFRIENDLY Windows 10, just list something as private and say the word.

@TheOwlAce As a side note, I tried her out with only four engines while testing, thinking that there might be other problems and was amazed at her performance. Similar speed and performance to the B-17 but she'd have a heck of a longer range - and that was with four blunt nacelles! XD

@TheOwlAce It turns out there were two issues with her. The port side inboard engine power block was nudged slightly off center, I tore her off and mirrored the starboard side inboard engine power block. I tested this without retracting the gear, dropped all of her bombs which placed the center of gravity on top of the center of lift which ended up sending her into spins. I added a bit of weight forward but you don't really feel it. (Otherwise I'd have to empty fuel tanks aft of the wing.) Then I tested her out again and retracted the gear. Invariably I'd lose a wing even in slight maneuvers so I went into her XML files and added code to the landing gear assemblies so that they don't register collisions with other parts. You may want to adjust the range of motion to your' preference on the hinge joint because now it retracts up into the wing/nacelle. lol Anyway, I dropped her bombs off and put her through a regular aerobatics series of maneuvers with no further issues. Here she is.

@TheOwlAce In other words its a design quirk, place a warning about banking or pitching sharply, stick a fork in it, and its done! lol

@DragonAerotech I have for the "fixed version"

@TheOwlAce So in other words your' attempt to fix the problem resulted in both sides having the same issue? What the heck could be wrong... Personally I'd yank the whole inner nacelle off on both sides and rebuild it piece by piece on one side, mirroring carefully as I went.

@DragonAerotech Not for this version but I am in the fixed version.

@TheOwlAce Hmm I only noticed it in the inboard port nacelle last time I tested it. It could be propeller tips clipping one another from the next nacelle over. The props do change their angle surprisingly realistically when set to auto. I have some props someone modded to have like ten blades, basically looks like the front of a turbofan, and when powered up the props look open but when you throttle down they close up the gaps. If it's adjusting the propeller pitch just so in a roll or especially with pitching it might just be that the props are too close. Did you change the nacelle arrangement from the previous version to this version by any chance?

@DragonAerotech No they are the same wing that I copied over. The explosion happens on both wingsat the same time. May an engine is clipping into another one?

@TheOwlAce That's also the nacelle with landing gear in it - could there be a loose piece or is it nudged in just slightly differently from the opposite side? That would mean the explosion is starting further back in the nacelle and going forward towards the engines. I know there's a code for modding parts so they won't detonate on maneuvers where parts might cross over and such but until you find those files hidden away it wouldn't help. (I had to do that with all of the wing surfaces of my recent twin tail builds otherwise I'd gradually lose wings or have explosions.)

@TheOwlAce Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the second explosion killed my SPs, I had to shut it down through ctrl/alt/delete! lol

@TheOwlAce I identified the location. It's the inboard most port engine (left side when facing from the tail to the nose.) I'm not sure if part of the landing gear, one of the intakes or maybe a piece of the exhaust is loose behind there. It exploded the first time with a downward pitch then the second time, upward. I'm uncertain of the cause.
