Boeing 737-300 (QANTAS)

I have been meaning to do a redux of my first proper airliner replica, my Boeing 737-300 in Air Baltic colours. I try to build my aircraft rather small, making them easier for lower-end devices to render. That aircraft was a bit too big, and my own computer has dramas loading it. I also wanted increase visual detail on the exterior using techniques I have learned since I built that aircraft. I also wanted to challenge myself, and do this 737 in QANTAS colours. I think I did alright, but the kangaroo on the tail does look extremely second hand. I also re-used the nose from my 737-200. the 737 Classic (The history of which I went over in my original 737 post), entered service with Australian Airlines (Specifically, the 737-300 in 1986, and 737-400 in 1988), and were operated by the airline until it was merged with QANTAS in 1992-1993. The 737s the became the primary medium-haul aircraft for QANTAS, until the gradual introduction of the 737-800NGs, and QANTAS retired this aircraft, VH-TAK, in 2005, selling it on to Comair in South Africa, and retired it's final 737 Classic in passenger service in February 2014. The type remains it service with QANTAS as a freighter.

Interestingly, I found an ATSB (Australian Transportation Safety Bureau) report, pertaining to this aircraft having a landing gear drama; whilst on final approach to Melbourne on the 4th April 1999, the right main landing gear extended to fast, after the passengers and crew heard a loud bang, however as it was indicated the gear was down and locked, and seems that cracking in MLG (Main Landing gear) trunnion pin actuator attach lugs were the culprit, however Boeing appeared to dispute this.

@Cereal Thank you. Many don't known that QANTAS operated 737 Classics, so I am happy to spread that information

@Inuyasha8215 That is hilarious, as I chose VH-TAK at random, and almost did one the New Zealand-Registered 733 QANTAS operated
