the need for mainline steam engines was becoming a large issue especially with the construction of new flat straight long railway lines. so the 4-6-T mainline was constructed and within a few years became the standard of rail travel in the CDU. these were also among the fastest steam locos ever with a unofficial record of 118mph. these were in service from 1933 til 1962 and were painted crimson red except for this one which was dark blue and named Liz. Ag1 for forward VTOL for smoke effects
