whenever i use resizeable wheels as landing gear they twitch and break instantly as soon as they touch the ground. can someone PLEASE help me.

If you want to use pistons in landing gear, you have to keep the mass of your build very low. If your build is heavier than a few thousand pounds, pretty much the only moving part you can use in landing gear is hinge rotators (not joint rotators).

I managed to solve it by disabling the suspension on the rear wheels and removing the rear springs.
and modifying the piston with xml. prevent breaking = true
