Aka 'Matilda', this is most advanced variant of the BF-109, notable for it's radical redesign of the wings and fuselage. From the M4 onwards, a 2000HP DB-606 engine was utilized along with the use of laminar-flow wings and contra-rotating propellers, therefore granting an excellent climb (until 25000MSL), and top speeds exceeding 500mph. As of December 1946, 250 'Matildas' were constructed. (Test pilots required. Feel free to provide feedback and an upvote.)
