Fokker Dr.I
2,113 Turdy1
8.2 years ago
Easily one of the most iconic aircraft ever designed, the Fokker Dr.I is most well know as the mount in which Manfred von Richthofen scored his last 17 victories, as well as the aircraft he was shot down in. Just over 300 triplanes were built, and they would equip a number of squadrons, including the elite Jastas 2 and 11. While aileron control was limited, pitch and yaw were excellent, which combined with the immense amount of lift from its three wings and landing gear airfoil, gave it incredible maneuverability.
