007Challenge2019 3.4

Auto Credit Based on mikoyanster's 007 Challenge 2019 [CANCELLED]

Personal transport:

Designed 2015, first flown 2016 in use from 2016 (vintage looks, modern tech).
Designed by BAE systems in conjunction with Q branch for gadgets, gizmo and moving bits.

So, here we go, James Bond always struck me as the type to fly something that was based on aircraft with combat pedegree such as a mustang or spitfire etc. but of course it wouldnt be so simple, here we have the latest in Q branch tech.

It looks like a single seat modern take on a ww2 fighter (complete with two tone eastern bloc camo), but has loads of party tricks. Ag1 for flaps (simple, effective and a bit boring), Ag2 to convert into speed racer mode (retract canopy to reduce drag, splits tail to add more stability, splits prop into 2 props for increased thrust and speed wooo), Ag3 (nav lights, boring but they have to be there...), Ag4 extend the rocket pod and arms forward firing rockets mean green baddy killing machines (Ag6 arms rear facing rockets, because there is always a baddy on his rear), Ag5 exposes the 6 mini-me aa missiles, Ag6 extends and arms the countermeasure pods (and arms rear facing rockets), Ag7 uses the top secret magnetic paint controls to hide the serial and roundels (based on modern uk military insignia), Ag8 brings the show off 007 insignia onto the top and bottom of the wing.

Phew, all those buttons, pistons, rotators etc.... now for some pics to show the above.

AG1 in use: 1

AG2 in use: 2

AG3 in use 3

AG4 in use 4

AG5 in use 5

AG6 in use 6

AG7 in use 7

AG8 in use 8

I have intentionally made it feel moderately heavy to give a bit of a robust feel, sometimes the pistons misbehave on the props (sorry but theres only so much i can do with SP physics) and it does have some slight autoroll that ive countered to some extent (again sorry but im not surprised with so many pistons etc adding slight weight here and there).

Spotlights

From this plane I really like the design of the tail in Y. The incorporation of the 007 anagram and a careful finishing of the camouflage seems very original to me. It reminds me of a Spitfire, adapted to the needs of Mr. Bond.

In the chapter of landing gear, I think it is very successful. Much space has been worked on to retract the landing gear, as well as take-off aids.

As for the flight it seems very realistic, although I would miss a bit more stability and level flight at 100% or 90%.

The light effect of the engine is very beautiful and in general it is a very well constructed airplane. It is great when the tail is deployed in X and increases the power of the engine, giving that extra that James Bond requires to leave a dangerous situation.

On the other hand, I find super-ingenious secret weapons, missiles, and rockets. It's a winning plane!

Simply stunning! Is it okay if I use the 007 emblem for my entry? iOS makes it hard to make my own insignias

@RamboJutter not a major issue anyway, I was still surprised by the originality of everything in this plane and find it very fun!

@MethaManAircraft it's temperamental, I was going for splitting 1 prop into 2 as the reason for the extra power but the piston physics on so is a pain, most of the time it's fine but it does glitch somehow...

    @RamboJutter aaaaaah... I see.
also, I don't think the piston with throttle input is necessary on the second prop... see as it sticks out with AG2... (for me at least)

@RamboJutter I can just about test it out (my SP used to be fine but now goes to 1fps for planes over 500/700 parts, idk why), and, you know what? All of the are great!!!
1 question tho: no gunz brrt brrt?
