About

this is fictional fighter
I not have a VR, so didn't debug this. SORRY!

StoryTime

In 1942, the Royal Navy was looking for a replacement for the crippled Sea Hurricane. Blackburn, meanwhile, was working on a successor, but there was a big problem: it had to be a plane that could compete with the unconstrained German planes flying from land, and it had to be built on a ship full of constraints.
The following year we were unable to find a solution to this problem, but we were shocked when we saw an aircraft imported from the USA.
all right! We could use inverted gull wiPut the wing under the fuselage!
This allowed us to combine a large diameter propeller with a short and strong landing gear.
Of course, the torque of the 2500 hp Centaurus engine was a problem for landing and the aircraft was difficult to maintain, but it was capable of competing with the German Fw-190A and was credited with shooting down an Fw-190D. It was later replaced by the Sea Fury, but as a stopgap it did more than enough!

These are the blueprints I drew up before I built this aircraft.

Imagine dogfighting in 1942 and getting shot in that little strut that holds the wing on the airframe.

It just asks for benig a flying coffin.

I like the LORE and that blueprint is clean asf.
Definitely an interesting reason to use a pedestal-wing design.
Edit: Also, nice job sticking to the Blackburn aesthetic
