Desing History
AH-83 is a two-seat, twin-turbine attack helicopter used primarily by the Estarian military. The AH-83 is a rotary-wing attack helicopter that began entering service in 1990.
AH-83 is a unique combat platform shaped entirely according to the doctrines of the land forces.AH-83 is an air platform based specifically on Battle Plan D. The design purpose of the platform is to attack enemy positions whose air defenses have been destroyed by supporting Estar tanks, which are the spearhead of the attack, and the motorized units coming from behind them.
Battle Plan D (popularly known as the Devastate-Destroy Doctrine) is a characteristic warfare tactic used by the Estar army against unsuspecting enemy troops and lines in open plains.
The first stages of Battle Plan D are carried out with CAS platforms and heavy bombers that quickly attack important areas of enemy positions (centers, enemy concentrated areas, tank units). whose air defense systems have been destroyed.
After significant parts of the enemy positions are destroyed by point attacks, the second leg of the attack, the artillery bombardment, begins. Artillery units and cruise missiles bombard the enemy positions regardless of the target.
The purpose of these bombardments is to ensure that the enemy cannot react to the incoming attack and cannot take a defensive position, rather than destroying the enemy.
In the third phase of the attack, mechanized troops try to break through the enemy defenses from the middle, the enemy line, which is broken in the middle, cannot organize and retreat quickly enough due to the effect of heavy bombardment, and is surrounded and destroyed by faster infantry and motorized units.
Battle Plan D is a very costly battle plan and requires solid logistics lines and a strong attacking side, but it still minimizes losses, guaranteeing the breakthrough of enemy lines and the destruction of almost all enemy units.
Using this battle tactic against prepared and strong enemy units can end in disaster for the attacking side.
The Estar army is one of the best-funded armies in the world, so such expensive tactics and platforms can be used effectively and long-term on the battlefield.

Operation History
Like many Estar-produced combat platforms, the AH-83's first combat experience was during the 2003 Arainq invasion.
AH-83s were frequently used against the tank divisions of the Arainq army. In fact, AH-83s managed to destroy more tanks in the Arainq war than all the ground forces destroyed.
Although the AH-83s suffered losses, they were still very successful and became the symbol of the Estar presence in the region. AH-83s would frequently fly low over occupied villages and cities and fire their main guns, giving civilians on the ground a constant sense of control and fear.
Estarian Armed Forces is a conventional army and is fully trained and armed for frontline warfare, which reduces the effectiveness of the army against guerrilla tactics, so Estaria constantly tries to keep the population under control with posters, TV and Radio broadcasts, even in the smallest settlement it occupies, at least tries to prevent civilians from escaping and resisting to city ruins or mountains
