I would love to pilot this, but my potato phone doesn't like creations with more than 170 pieces
@GeneralPatrick2 Here you go. Let me know when you've downloaded it so I can delete it. And remember to upvote this build.
@SledDriver yes, yes it is
@GeneralPatrick2 I got this down to 612 parts by removing the details, is that good enough?
@SledDriver Used to be 300 parts but now I can handle like 600 or 700 parts on my new tablet with low physics, so maybe somewhere around that?
@GeneralPatrick2 Sure, how many parts would that be? Everyone's definition of "mobile-friendly" depends on their mobile...
Would it be possible at all for a slightly more mobile-friendly, lower part count version? If not that's fine, still a sexy build.
Thank you for all the info!!! Very useful and much appreciated!
@SledDriver
@FCparis Well then, use structural wings. Before you get into building complex aircraft, I recommend figuring out the basics of flight with a minimal build (one block for the airframe, wings, engine, fuel tank) and working with that until you have it right.
I increased the mass of a part ba a 100x multilayer but still got wing flutter. @SledDriver
@FCparis By a frame outside the control surfaces, I mean that when the control surface moves, there's a "frame" (beam, whatever) there.
@FCparis Wing flutter happens when the mass of the aircraft is too low for the size of the wings. You can adjust mass up, or use the "structural wing" part. By default it can't have control surfaces, but you can override that by setting allowControlSurfaces="true". Several people have created XML modding guides, reading those will help.
Ok thank you for the info! I was trying to fix the wing flutter but couldn't figure out how to. Do you know how? Also what do you mean by a frame outside the control surfaces and oversized insignia?
@FCparis Well, if you're building on mobile, it's fair for a new player. Problems I see at a glance include reversed lettering on the stabilizers, wing flutter at ~800 mph, a frame outside the control surfaces, flat wings, oversized insignia, surfaces that flicker over and under each other, and an odd color scheme. Also, changing trim causes it to roll.
Ok thank you! I know its a lot to ask but i just built something (f-22 raptor updated), so could you tell me if its good or bad? @SledDriver
@FCparis Just build quality stuff.
Ok cool :) thanks for the info! Do you have any tips on growing an account? Trying to grow mine.@SledDriver
@Danieldiaz Whaaaaaaa?
@FCparis Appreciation is nice, but that's not the reason I build. I build things because I like to build things.
Wooooooo
Like getting all the downloads and spotlights
@SledDriver
@FCparis What attention?
So how is it having this much attention on your builds? It must be very cool. I just posted some builds and they have gotten the most attention yet so its quite nice when you post something successful. Just wondering how it is on such a big scale like this. @SledDriver
She is amazing. Pure magic. Keep up the good work! @SledDriver
@FCparis She's a beauty, isn't she...
