This plane, which is the youngest Airbus 300 in Iran, was built on the order of Japan Air System with serial number 838. It made its first flight on 28/08/2002 and was delivered to that company three months later with the registration JA016D. In April 2004 it was transferred to another Japanese company Japan Airlines Domestic and then in October 2006 it was transferred to Japan Airlines JAL until it was decommissioned and grounded on 31.05.2011. Transferred to Aircastle in August of that year as N836AC.

Mahan Airlines bought this Airbus on 10/01/2011 through Kyrgyz Trans Avia and immediately entered Kerman Airport on 10/29/2011 [corresponding to November 7, 2011] with the registration EX-35011 and the next day it entered Imam Khomeini Airport. did The plane finally made its first flight for this company on January 14, 2013, and two years later, in December 2013, it got the Iranian EP-MMO register.
