@Boeing727200F I think that goes a bit beyond just the education system if you're telling the truth.
@Graingy yeah I’m an American. Also idk man I’m just a student in this failing education system
@Boeing727200F Throwing phones away?
Is that legally agreed to?
Again, assuming you're American (American website, after all, tends to be the default assumption unless otherwise obvious), that definitely sounds like it'd breach some law. Unless you live in some far-right braindead state. I could see one of those allowing schools to destroy personal property worth thousands of dollars on a whim.
@Boeing727200F
That is so dumb.
@TheMouse look at the previous comment I made
@Graingy my school really hates devices. The school implemented a no phone policy and enforce it. You have to put your phone in a “yondr pouch” during the entirety of school. And if you are caught, you are sent to the school’s office and they put it in one and throw it away (I’m not joking). The school computers are cheep and heavily monitored, like to a point where china’s internet seems like strict parents.
Edit: yes I’m an American
@Boeing727200F Never in my time at school was there that much overreach into the personal pastimes of students.
Banning access to accounts on their devices is one thing, but outright deleting accounts they don't own sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I assume you're American?
@Graingy @Boeing727200F
But how do they have the right to terminate any account that you own? Even if you are accessing it from their computer.
@Graingy your school doesn’t? And if they find out your not on a school appropriate account, like your signed into a video game account, yes
@Boeing727200F I assume the part about account termination is also a joke, but just to be clear, they wouldn't have the right to do that, right?
