Mitsubishi A6M Zero
3rd Version to the previous (deleted) version. Installed a working (though very basic) cockpit in which you can enjoy dogfighting in.
Hopefully this is the push for gold?
After a long break I'm proudly releasing the Mitsubishi A6M Zero Japanese fighter. Featuring working split flaps, custom landing gear and a full undercarriage, it's a big step up from my previous planes.
Scale: About 1:1
Controls:
VTOL-Flaps
AG1-Bomb
AG8-Nav lights
Infomation:
The Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" is a long-range fighter aircraft, manufactured by Mitsubishi Aircraft Company, a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy from 1940 to 1945. The A6M was designated as the Mitsubishi Navy Type 0 carrier fighter (???????? rei-shiki-kanjo-sentoki), or the Mitsubishi A6M Rei-sen. The A6M was usually referred to by its pilots as the "Reisen" (zero fighter), "0" being the last digit of the imperial year 2600 (1940) when it entered service with the Imperial Navy. The official Allied reporting name was "Zeke", although the use of the name "Zero" was later adopted by the Allies as well.

@Dusty141 boi how long it take you to type all dat?
A real sky samurai:
Firstly the cockpit is amazing for a game like simple planes, especially without sacrificing performance you've made (with a little imagination) a faithful rendition of the zeros cramped cockpit in a manner that while low res does convey the feeling of fighting for your life in an unarmoured agile fighter.
Secondly, the external model is fantastic, not only does it look like a zero but it flies well, rather difficult and temperamental at times but it can fight and with flaps used tactically it can be competitive, the only issue I'd raise is that the machine-guns are in place of 20mm cannons (at least the ones in the wings are) which robs the plane of some of its legendary and much needed firepower but this isn't your fault really as there is no means in the game to add 20mm cannons.
Overall a 4.7/5
@Daylight Ok have a great day
@Junkers87 i gotta sleep see ya tomorrow!
@Junkers87 well ok i just added a boom 50 in the fron and went straight for the uss tiny and said KAMAKAZE!!!!! and BOOM! it littraly sank the tiny and i littary did the same with the ww2 challenge
@Daylight yes kamikaze
@Junkers87 you mean KAMAKAZE?
why use bombs if u have the plane itself
Well...tbh my very first zero was even worse but the bad part is...lots of plasticity @CoolPeach
Hoho, cut some slack. This build was pretty bad, it’s good that someone pointed it out. @AdlerSteiner
@Grandmother now...can you say that in his future builds?
can you make a bf110 or 109 to attack this? This is your only axis wii plane @CoolPeach
the top and the tail. I damaged him, but clearly not enough @CoolPeach
Hmm, did you man the tail gunner when it was on your 6?
The ball and dorsal turret are the most versatile of all the turrets. @CRJ900Pilot
it shot me downXD @CoolPeach
Oh god, this ugly beast. Shoot it down will you.
@CRJ900Pilot
this against the b-17 @CoolPeach
Maybe, it would be quite a change from the WW2 planes that I usually make. @temporaryaccount
Haven't decided. I don't plan my projects, they sorta just come when they feel like it. A break might also be ahead so you know. @temporaryaccount
Nah, just a keepsake I guess. But feel free to improve on it if you want
@temporaryaccount
I did learn a lot from this though, which is why I keep it up, I think my 2nd best build came after this
@temporaryaccount
This is probably my worst build, interms of accuracy etc. So to comment that here is, odd? @temporaryaccount
@CoolPeach I thought you can find "what to fix" by yourself. I just give you little tips.
Also English isn't my native language, write/speak on English is a bit hard for me. Becose of this I prefer to avoid long messages/texts/etc.
:з
Look at my IAR 80A, this is how (I think) nose and engine would be build.
Also, I was wondering after a while, why the elements you listed below were "bad" in your eyes? You've given areas you think look bad, but not exactly why.
@Grandmother
@ReischetzFokke yes. Good, but not best. Good luck in your hard way! :з
