In the early years of the war, the Germans set out a request for a single-engine reconnaisance aircraft with great visibility. Blohm und Voss, an aircraft company, heard and responded, despite not being an entrant, with their radical BV 141. The BV 141 had an offset cockpit giving the pilot and gunner an incredible field of view, as almost the entire cockpit was of glass panels. It used the plane's own propeller torque to balance it out, so in a sense, the plane was actually more "symmetrical" than normal designs. About 10 or so were built and used.

Keep in mind, however, that SimplePlanes does not model in propeller torque, and thus, the historically "easy to fly" BV 141 is extremely dangerous to attempt a takeoff in in SimplaPlanes. Are you up to the challenge? :)
